Voice Lessons

We masterfully teach you how your vocal instrument works and how to get it to work for you consistently through a systematic approach tailored to your individual goals. Lessons include technique and repertoire work. We tailor the lessons to the particular needs of our students. We deal with all aspects of audition preparation from repertoire to acting coaching. Singing is a very personal and vulnerable process; therefore, we create a nurturing and safe environment in which our students are free to take risks.

Singing Lessons - Beginners

Singing is a great way to communicate and can be a great way for your child build self-confidence and self-esteem. Singing lessons are designed for younger students with no previous training and for those whose training has lapsed and need a refresher before stepping into extensive vocal training. Students will learn to read music and sing better by developing pitch recognition, proper breathing, and control using songs they are already familiar with. This program is recommended as a stepping stone for Vocal Coaching for new singers and students seeking specific assistance for short term training.

Singing Lessons - Intermediate and Advanced

Singing lessons for the intermediate and advanced voice are available to students who have completed Singing Lessons for the Beginner Voice or have placed into the program through the interview and audition process. This program is well suited for students who have reached an appropriate age for a demanding and disciplined long term approach to improving their voice.

Voice lessons are individually tailored to each students personal style of learning and vocal goals. We provide a comprehensive approach that covers all the essentials, including: how the voice works, proper posture and breathing, tone quality, musical expression, belting, diction, and resonance. We will provide you exercises that will help you to harness your natural voice and expand your range in both directions. You will learn how to use your head voice and chest voice and practice techniques that will connect the registers smoothly. You will develop a solid foundation for music theory including reading music, harmonizing, pitch matching, singing scales, intervals and more. Songs need to be learned correctly and concretely. Once the songs are rhythmically comfortable and organic, the vocal coach aids the student to approach the song from a different angle altogether and experiment. Throughout your training you will also study and sing music that interests and challenges you! This program is well suited for students who have reached an appropriate age for a demanding and disciplined long term approach to improving their voice.

Vocal and Instrumental Combo Classes

This program is designed for students interested in learning to sing and play guitar or piano. Students require a minimum of 1 year training in each discipline before they can combo their training. Discuss your goals with your instructor to learn how you can prepare for this program.
